When you walk along the cliff edges of Gundungurra Country, you will notice the sandstone cliffs beneath your feet, revealing its very core made from magnificent hues of pink, orange, and beige. It is as though the mountains speak to you, giving you the most beautiful place to sit and rest while you look upon the majestic forests and waterways of the Blue Mountains region. These sandstone mountains make up the earth in many places within Gundungurra nation, they hold many stories and are a true source of strength. I wanted to display the stars here, to amplify the deep connection our ancestors held not only with the earth beneath them, but the sky above.
